Main Article Content
Abstract
In our research we analyzed the underlying connections between quarterlife crisis and perceived social support in the students sampled from the University of Szeged. The sample consisted of 395 students. Both sexes were represented in equal numbers. Two questionnaires were used: the Quarterlife Crisis Questionnaire (QLC; Vida, 2011) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Support (MSPSS; Zimet et al., 1988). Statistical analysis of the data showed no difference between male and female participants in experiencing quarterlife crisis. However, female subjects tend to feel that they have more anxiety inducing decisions to make than their male counterparts. In conclusion, high measures of perceived social support could function as strong protective elements against quarterlife crisis.
